Ssssamantha Copycat Nails

I don't know how many of you watch Batalash on YouTube or follow @ssssamantha on IG, but I've always LOVED her nails! Unfortunately no places around here (or online that I can really find) sell stiletto nails like the ones she wears, and last time I tried shaping ovals into stilettos, they just didn't turn out great. So, I just stuck with the ovals--I still really like how they turned out!

I started with a base coat. I then took those round stickers and cut them into the appropriate arc-shape.

I then stuck it to my nail and painted over the top. Now, you can either cut individual stickers for each and every nail, or you can take the lazy way out and use the same one over and over--this also ensured each gap was the same size. No matter which you choose, you'll have to clean up with a q-tip and nail polish remover. I also went in with a thin nail art brush and more black and painted on the edges to make sure they're crisp. For some reason, at least with me, stickers, tapes, etc never perfectly stick to my nails, and I thus have polish that seeps under it somewhat and I have to clean up. Anyhoo, I finished with a top coat and BAM!! all done! :)

If you haven't seen Samantha's videos and you're a makeup fan, you need to go to her channel and check out her tutorials--amazing I tell you!

Lacquer Legion February - Adoration

The Lacquer Legion prompt for this month was adoration, and if you know me you know I LOVE (adore) shoes! Plus the cheetah print and bows just make them extra girly and cute don't you think?!

I used Zoya's Dot on fingers 1, 4, & 5, and Essie's On A Silver Platter for 3 & 4. I glued a plastic bow on the 4th finger with nail glue. Then using a Sally Hansen nail art pen in black, I drew a stiletto heel on fingers 1 & 5. Using a dotting tool and ELFs Red Hot, I drew hearts. Using a purple Sally Hansen nail art pen, I drew dots on the toes of the shoes to make a little pouf!

On the 2nd and 3rd fingers, I made dots with Essie's Play Date. Then using a black nail striper, I made random lines around the dots to create a cheetah print. I finished it all with a top coat of Seche Vite.

What do YOU adore?

Stiletto Nails with Bows and Bling

I really wanted to try stiletto nails, so I decided today was the day to give it a shot. I did a google search to find a cute design, because, obviously, thats whats going to make the nail!! I found this design from lafemmeclassy.blogspot.com. I didn't have the plastic bows (I ordered some a couple of weeks ago, but they are shipping from HONG KONG!! so who knows when they'll be here lol) so I just decided to paint them on. I used active oval fake nails from Kiss, glued them on, and filed them to be a bit more almond shaped. Then I used fiji from Essie (two coats) on all nails but #4. On #4 I used blanc from Essie. I drew the bow with fiji and traced it with a black nail art pen from Sally Hansen. I added silver rhinestones around the bows. I finished with a top coat from Seche Vite. I really like how they turned out! Let's see if they stay on for longer than a week (I have terrible luck with fake nails!) :)
