Anti-Valentines Nails!

I dunno about you guys, but Valentines Day is getting old! We ought to show those in our lives that we love them everyday, not just when the chocolate and flower companies think we should 1 day a year. Yes? I think yes. Anyhoo, I do a little think on Instagram called Warp Speed Wednesday's, and each month we are given a list of prompts, then we post our interpretations of the prompts on the given Wednesday! So this coming Wednesday's prompt is "Anti-Valentines". I thought I would go ahead and do it now, seeing as how it's Valentine's Day today anyway, and I'll tag it on Wednesday instead lol!

So, this one is a bit different than what I normally do--I decided to try a new technique! I have a few of those plastic containers that fake nails come in, and I use them to drip nail polish on to do my nail art; when it dries, it comes right off and you can reuse it next time! So, I painted 10 spots with clear polish that were approximately the size of each of my nails. When dried, I painted each of the designs with black and red polish (Zoya Raven and Nailtini Bloody Mary) using a thin nail art brush and dotting tools. Some of the nails I used a stamp (3rd and 5th fingers) and different polishes (red, orange, yellow, brown). When they were all painted up, I simply peeled the clear polish, and stuck it to my nail! I cleaned up the excess with acetone and finished with a top coat! Feel free to comment if you'd like to know any other details, like the stamps I used, etc.

Happy Valentines Day! ;)
